I read from time to time about nikon lenses that have issues with the S5 for whatever reason and then move on as I think I wont be updating my lenses anytime soon...

Well we are looking at getting a spare med range zoom for film ( F5 ) and the S5pro.

Has anyone compiled a list of lenses that are:

GREAT

GOOD

SOME ISSUES

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.


I could make a start with what I have found over the past 4 months:

GREAT=
105vr ( my gem, on 400%DR it softens its contrast to a level I love for portraits)
70-200vr ( only regret is the lack of FPS for sports )
24-70 f2.8 ( since sold due to size/weight for intended use. Was stella :-) )
50 1.8


GOOD
18-200vr
28-105 ( does seem to front focus on the S5 but not the D80 or F5 )
12-24 ( sometimes seems a bit soft on the S5 compared to the D80, but the D80 does have a high res so it may just be that)
