I was at the Canon booth at PMA in Las Vegas for about 2 hours today trying out the 10d, 1d and 1ds and a number of different lenses.

I talked to several of the canon guys at the counter, and while things were a little slow and they were discussing the 10d availability and pricing.

The assured me that the following was certain:

1) 10d cameras are in the warehouse ready to ship in a quantity sufficient to meet demand.

2) Shipments will start next MONDAY (today is Tuesday 3/4/03)

3) MAP is $1499, and in addition Canon was touting the price LOUDLY over and over again on a PA system in a 10d demonstration they were giving with several different photographers and models.

I spent quite a bit of time with the camera tracking people walking by in AI SERVO mode, and tested the AF in many different ways, if anyone has any question, post them here and I will try to answer as best I can.

Looks like we will all be getting our 10d's soon!
