First of all I want to thank dpr for yet another nice (free) review. One thing did however got me thinking.

After looking at the 7d test on this site I realized they still used f8 for shooting resolution charts and f9 when they compare IQ. That means the review won't show optimal resolution from 7d due to diffraction. This will also favor lower resolution bodies like the nikon d300.

In the cameralabs review they also used f8 but they used a ff zoom (24-105) instead of a prime and I'm having doubts if the zoom really can handle 7d's 18mp resolution.

So am I being picky or are the testers not taking the new high resolution sensors into account. I know DOF is a problem when shooting some of these tests but still..?

What do you think?
