Their curse seems to be that by offering better and more sophisticated cameras at lower prices, they have attracted buyers who are really overwhelmed by camera complexity with expectations that they do not even understand.

A current thread with pics with two different 7D bodies, HAND HELD, NOT FRAMED EXACTLY THE SAME WAY, without customs functions compared (if they are equal), with a comment that the poster does not even know how to handle EXIF data, with miniscule exposure difference, is a good example.

So, Canon is cursed if they do (offerr better cameras at lower prices) and if they don't.

Mind you, I recognize, that every device may malfunction, surely there is a percentage of those, but I bet nowhere near in proportion to posts claiming faults.
