We can only conclude, that dpreview seems to be very isolated in ther opinion about the 50D. Almost every review of the 50D (7-8 reviews) are concluding that the 50D is a superb camera with fine low noise performance and great resoulution.

I donīt understand why people get so upset. Dpreview can write what the want to write - thatīs their own business. But to me it seems as though they havenīt done their work good enough. They will pay for that, as I think, in the future many people will rate reviews from dpreview much lower or not as high as others. Dpreview simply will loose value... if they make conclusion differing to much from the mainstream opinion.
