I don't really post on here often but I thought it was appropriate...

Since, I don't have much history on these boards, mainly because of time issues..some background on my self so you don't think it is total BS.

I'm a Mark III shooter. I am a team photographer for the Baltimore Ravens. Feel free to check out their website. Anyway...

I just got off the phone with my local Canon dealer. We have a close relationship because I have had really bad luck with one of my Mark III bodies. He just got back from a Canon meeting in Hawaii.

He shot the 50D for four days and pretty much signed his life away not to tell..I'm hoping this won't get back to him ;-) This is what he told me

50D
15MP
1.6X crop
weather sealed
he said he couldn't remember if it was 5-6fps like 40D or maybe as high as 8fps

I didn't get into more details cause I have little use for one. It will be the next camera Canon releases. All that is fact.

Now, although Canon was super quiet about it...he SUSPECTS (NOT FACT) that Canon will announce 5D replacement at Photokina...FF approx. 16.7MP
