Last week, Circuit City had the 40D kit for $1,399. They also had an online 10% off coupon (or, you could get one off of Ebay like the previous poster said). I ordered the kit for in-store pickup, and got to the store 30 minutes prior to closing.
I had another coupon with me... 10% off from AAA (if you're a member, or know someone who is). I tried to get the Customer Service Manager to apply the AAA coupon on top of the coupon I used online. At first it wouldn't take it, but he said he would do a manual price adjustment.
I couldn't believe it... I got the kit for $1,133+tax. I didn't think Circuit City would bargain, but if you don't ask, the answer is always no.
