Hi All, First of all .. I'm neither a Canon or a Nikon fan per say. I'm just a freshie looking to get her first DSLR and am comparing D300 and EOS40D. I know little bout the lenses offered by both Nikon and Canon (other than some basics) and would appreciate if anyone out there would be able to share their comments and advice. I currently own a S2 IS and loved the camera to bits .. but am looking for something more to play with. Bear in mind I'm new, there would be not issue bout dumping existing gear to switch to a new brand. What I'm looking for is a brand that offers me good products for the long term. Would also appreciate if you'd advise on the best camera / lense combination to start off .. Many thanks in advance!! And have a lovely day ...
