From the time the 40D rumors started pre PMA, and now 6 months later, we have all been waiting and posting, The 40D will have this, The 40D will have that, I hope it has this etc...
When Released everyone seemed happy, there was the minor AF upgrade that everyone wanted, the live preview that some wanted, 10MP, 6.5 fps, all the new features were raved about for days all I heard was, mine is pre ordered, hope it comes early sep, maybe it will get here before the 20th release date in the US.

Everything was Dandy in Canon land.
Then the release of the D300, and the masses are upset, the 40Ds features are not good enough anymore?
Im jumping ship, Canon is falling behind so im not purchasing the 40D, I canceled my order LOL. WTF?

The 40D is the same camera it was before the announcement of the untested nikon D300, what a bunch of cry babies...

I will walk around with my 33 percent cheaper 40D proudly, if I do come across a d300 user, I will ask him how are your 900 AF points, how many do you need anyway, I shoot birds and once used to the 9 point using the center point only I never had a problem. Sure it would be nice to have 45 or whatever Af points, but If you cant do it with 9 and with the new T sensors, you probably cant do it at all, sure more sensors make things easier but after going back and forth from my 30D to my 1dN Its not as big a deal as people make it out to be.

So stop whinning life is still good in the Canon world.................
