Just got my 20D, upgrading from a 300D. The link below is a IR 20D image from my dining room using a 17-40L. I attempted to use the b/w mode on camera so that I wouldn't have do any post processing. I did adjust the levels slightly. I'm not quite sure that I like the 'spooky' look (pre-Ivan - outer bands) though.
