In another thread, a poster said that attitudes toward Ansel Adams range from admiration to disdain. As one who admires his work - when seen in a gallery or a book more than online of course - I can't imagine anyone who despises his work. I can understand that if you are an action or portrait photographer you may not prefer his work over other styles but that's not the same as saying that it's not of the utmost quality. So I'd be curious to hear from some of those who think that Adams' work isn't top notch and why. Also I'd be interested in hearing who you think does / did better work. -- ----- -paul
