In September I visited Cuba on vacation. A fascinating place and I have of course some hundreds of photos to review and just might show some on DPR. In the meantime..........

We visited a fort overlooking downtown Havana, one of the features was a former office of Che Guevara. Apparently he was a keen photographer and included amongst the various displays was his early Nikon rangefinder.

What also caught my eye was the following quote from one José Luis Villacañas Berlanga

"Like many of his contemporaries, Che devoted himself wholeheartedly to the melancholic art of photography, the art of preserving the past"

Melancholic is not a word I would apply to my photographic activities, what do you think?
