Hi i dont have a lot of experience with cameras but have been researching what camera to get to take travelling with me.

What im after is a camera that takes good photos, has decent battery life, fairzoom and if reasonably compact as will be taking out at night in pocket most likely!

I am happy to spend up to £275 if necessary but would be happier spending around £200

So far i like the Lumix range (TZ7,6 & ZX1) but have heard the battery life is poor

Can anybody help, many thanks
