BC-900 charger not indicating when battery is full?

So i got my lacrosse charger and i was charging batteries when i saw that it doesnt telling me that the battery is full. i took 1 battery out and put it into the charger again and then the charger indicted that its full. Is there a problem with the charger? am i doing something wrong?
