Me and the wife really want to visit yellowstone in the winter this year but we hear that this is hard to pull off unless you go on a guided tour of some sort. I would love to go on a photo tour/workshop but at $3000 (cheapest I could fine) for 7 nights is a over budget for us. Thats $6000 plus flight and other expenses.
Is there a cheaper way to do this and still get the access we would want for photo opportunities? The wife likes to take photos but she also wants a little bit of adventure as well...so maybe if we could find some sort of group tour that gives plenty of photo opportunities.
My goal is to get some good landscape shots and wildlife pictures. I plan to bring my 24-105mm and 100-400mm Lenses with me and maybe a 1.4x teleconvertor.
Any advice would be appreciated!
