Let me begin be stating that I just want an answer to a simply question, not a debate about religion or business practices.
OK, my simple question: B&H and Adorama are both closed for, so far as I know, for the same religious reasons at the moment. However, you can place on order with Adorama, but not B&H. Why is that?
I recently read a thread somewhere where it was explained that no productive work can be done by the business owners, their employees, or their machinery, for religious reasons in reference to B&H. One person questioned why the machinery was included and another person was rather adamant that machinery was indeed not excepted. However, I was under the impression that Adorama was owned by an owner from the same religious sect, so I'm just curious as to why their machines will take an order (even though it won't be sent until the conclusion of the holiday), whereas B&H won't.
Normally, I would have simply chalked it up to a slight difference in interpretation, but the exhange between the two people I mentioned above was a bit heated, with the one party strongly insisting that machinery was, in fact, included so I thought that there might be more to the story, like the owners of B&H and Adorama aren't from the same sect.
Again, I wish to make it clear that I'm not looking for a religious debate. I'm just curious about the reason for the different operation between B&H and Adorama on this one point, since I was under the impression that they conducted business identically.
