Hi all,
As an amateur, I'm slowly discovering the workflow from the shot (taken from the camera) to the image (print, exhibition, magazine...). I met a guy who was teaching Photoshop classes to photographers and he told me the first thing people in agency were looking at was lost information, eitheir in shadows / highlights and/or colours, at a very precise level (one unit for example).
Although some well known photographers might have a personal style with occasional deep blacks or overexposed highlight, I was wondering if that statement is true, for stock photography for example. Any relevant info that could enlighten me is welcome :)
