If you have a DAM-system - how do you do with master photoshop/tiffs files? Client delivered files? All kind of versions, sizes, color spaces, bit depths and so on?

These files are the ones I find my self constantly searching for and really would need something to manage. These are the ones that clients ask for constantly. These are the ones that is easy missplaced and is in high risk of getting accidentically deleted.

For me, this is the Achilles Heel of all DAM systems. DAM systems of today doesnt keep track of the whole life span of an image - from the raw file to the contact sheets, the post production versions, photoshop masters, the delivered files, all the way to the "end" of a project and further on with archiving and finally off line management.

This is why I never could find the right place for a DAM in my work flow. I dont need to search my raw files. I need to search my post raw files.

How do you manage your master tiffs/psds/contact sheets/webb sized files?
