I am looking for some help and advice in taking toddler portraits.

So many times I try to capture the moment buy they move quickly and it is hard to lock that focus and snap.
I want to take the more natural child portrait outdoors and would like them to just be themselves not no professional studio type. Using mostly natural light and some off camera flash when possible.

Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!
