I'm attempting to join iStockPhoto so that I can sell some images and I'm slowly learning that the selection criteria for joining is not what I expected.
I can understand why some of my images were rejected, but I can't understand why the one above was rejected. Any comments /from people who have been accepted by stock photo sites/ would be appreciated - what did you find worked at first.
I've read the relevant "training" and it seems to me the selection criteria is different when joining for the first time - stronger, like you really need to pull out all the shots.
I've written more about my experience so far here: http://lemon.soju.co.uk/2009/10/27/microstock-acceptance-and-rejection/
That link also contains the other two images that were rejected which although I think meet the criteria required for their catalog, iStockPhoto don't seem to think so.
Any comments /from people who have been accepted/ or links to sites which detail peoples experience or offer tips for getting accepted (rather than just training material on the stock image websites) would be most appreciated.
