Hi Everyone,

I am considering a move to a Phase One P45+ Back digital solution with camera movements. I'm hoping to get some adice from people with some View camera experience. Up until now I have been looking at 4x5" View cams as I need a camera for multiple applications. My dealer has recommended the Arca Swiss F-Metris C 6x9 which is smaller than the other formats I have been looking at. I am wondering if this will likely create limitations with movements for the range of work that I am doing.

My basic list of requirements areas follows;

- Studio use with macro lenses for photographing jewelery etc. Note that I wish to use creating focus and shallow depth of field hence the view camera option.

- Landscape photography using wide angle lenses

- Architectural and interior work

As you can see from the above list This camera will need to be reasonably lightweight, a good range of movements and easy to set up and focus. Is the Arca Swiss F-Metric C (Compact version) a good fit for my needs? Or is the 4x5 Version a better fit? In practice will the slightly less movements aforded by the 6x9 version be a problem or are the movements adequate for my type of work? Has anyone experience using this cam with the P45+ Back? I would really appreciate your comments / advice before I plunge in to this expensive equipment.

Thanks in advance

John
