Full Frame System or not??

Ok, I know this has been discussed over and over and over again. But here goes….

I have the opportunity to choose between Canon or Nikon top pro-systems, with pro lenses! A very lucky situation I am in, and I was all set on Nikon D2xs until I went to my old boss this past Friday to his studio. I noticed that he is now shooting Canon, 1Dn Mark II I think it is Full Frame system. I asked him why he switched, he said he was loosing a lot of business because he was not shooting full frame. This started me to think, the same issues have been going on for years in film the larger the negative the better the image.

Anyhow I have done so much research on Nikon I am now having to focus on Canon before the purchase is made and I am stuck! LOL, what a position to be in! Well as you may have guessed I want to make sure I am diving into the right system for myself. I like both Canon and Nikon, I have just leaned toward Nikon more than Canon. So I find my self wondering if Full Frame is really that much better or not and if so what if anything makes it better other than the obvious sensor size.

This is not a topic of who is better etc…that’s not what I am looking for….I know the choice is all mine and I would be happy with either system. This would be easy for me if Nikon made full frame system, but since this is not the case at this time any advice would be appreciated on the pro’s and cons of full frame and not full frame. And if you had the choice which pro system would you go with even its not Nikon or Canon.

Any down falls with Canon or issues you have had with the system, would also be helpful for me not looking to bash Canon, but since I don’t and have not shot with Canon, I don’t know all the issues if any that have caused any pain in the past.

Again thanks for taking the time to read and respond…..
