A 2/3rds sensor, 8.5mp max GX300 next time around? The sensor may be too big for the current lens to cover but why not make it a bit bigger and reach just a tad further out, to say maybe 120mm max?
I am going to be exceptionally pleased with the GX200 I just know it, but part of me really wants to see Ricoh go for broke on compacts and beat the pana venus nightmare and unfinished sigma endeavor since they wont be making DSLRS (correct me if am wrong there).
The way Ricoh design the compacts is the best I've seen ever, so inutive and helpful to the photographer. Less hype, more of what you need and want. A minimalist's dream. With perhaps exception to the sensors.. maybe.
I dont think that is an outlandish/unrealistic request, with that sized sensor (same sensor in many popular digicam/dslr hybrid models such as the Sony F828, Canon G6.. etc.
Do you?
I like that the GX100,GRII use the 1 1/8ths sensor and the GX200 went bigger to the 1 1/7ths, that is a very good start.
