In my opinion the specs of the new camera are a huge let down (though probably good news for owners of the current model). Main disappointments:

- No more phase-detection AF sensors. How lame is that?
- No RAW buffer. Come on Ricoh, every budget DSLR has that nowadays. A compact that actually costs more should not only have a buffer, but should have one that large enough for 7 or 10 consecutive shots.
- No IS.
- No support for GX100 EVF.

Such a minor update really shouldn't take 2 years to release (unless it's some kind of reverse-marketing decision).
