I had a F200 briefly last spring. Looking through my images it is quickly apparent in P-mode 6M AUTO800 AUTODR it does not like >1/450 shutter speeds and often selects tiny apertures to achieve this. I have several cases where in decent light the camera selected f9-14 and a shutter around 1/80-100. My old TZ4 was the opposite usually selecting a wide aperture like f4 @ 1/800th. This can be problematic when shooting moving subjects.

Does limiting the DR setting keep the aperture open? And if so can someone confirm this? Are there defraction/sharpness issues with the F200 using small apertures vs wide open?

This question is in part due to the drawing conclusion from another post regarding blur (as many posts do, it was getting off topic).
