Please share your fall images so all of us can enjoy! :-) Here are a few from me, and be forewarned that some may be a little too weird for your personal taste. HOWEVER, maybe they will bring some 'play' or a smile to a few members at the FTF. A couple of years ago (or so) I stumbled across a website that contained adorable pumpkins which looked like kids....and they held a 3-D effect. If I'm remembering correctly, the 'artist/photographer' had offered a class on the technique - therefore my interest. BUT, I was unable to locate that website, so I got to thinking....maybe I could try my luck. Well, I'm no Rockwell, but maybe this idea is something that someone here can use that may have better pp skills than I. And I was thinking....this technique would work well on Christmas ornaments and so forth. Would make a unique, personalized gift. (or not....) A few examples with one side blended (the other side requires blending but I wanted to illustrate): http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/pumpk-2.jpg http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/pumpk-32.jpg http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/vine-2.jpg What I did was.....I took two photos. One was this one: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/DSC01639.jpg And the other was from clipart (I did one using a photo of my son, but he'd kill me if I shared that one). If you'd like to know more details on what I did, please ask. I would hate to sit here and type uselessly. :-) Fake light can also be added: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/lit.jpg And the image can be stretched for another effect: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/unlit.jpg And carvings can be added: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/pum.jpg http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/p2.jpg Or stamped images: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/p3.jpg Or, different textures can be applied to the original image: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/DSC01639-25.jpg http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/DSC01639-2-1.jpg http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/vine.jpg Or to the end result: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu21/The_Eastwitch_Gallery/vine-3.jpg So many different ways to go! And really, really simple. The Overlay function among others was part of the key - at least to me. I did ask for help in locating the website with the adorable pumpkin kids, but the Retouch Forum appears to be in the middle of a crisis right now with one of their beloved members on a ban. I'm so glad that we don't fight and cuss at the FTF, aren't you? I might share these with them....or....not. BUT, please do share your fall images with us! :-) -- Jada Edited at 05/10/2009 17:05:07, 05/10/2009 (GMT) | |
