Hi,
Just want to say that I had my F40fd for a few days and right off the bat I noticed that the pics were not as good as my F30. So I'm returning the camera for a refund, and have purchased the F31fd for pixmania.co.uk

I know a lot of you are saying, there's no way you can tell in a few days how good a camera is, but even for a complete novice like me, I can tell. Especially with the low light pics. Too much noise for my liking. And for an outdoor pic the F30 was much crisper. It seems that every low light pic that I took the camera always wanted to use ISO800.

Maybe the extra little manual override features in the F3xx range helps out, as the F40fd is virtually a Point and Shoot.

Not sure what exactly Fuji did different in there F4xx range, but my 2 cents worth is try and stick/buy the F3xx range.

There are a lot of experts out there that can give they're scientific opinion on why one is better than the other, but i'm just giving it from a complete and utter novice or knoob, which ever you prefer, LOL. My F610 gave better pics than the F40.

Wish I had never sold my F30 now. Serves me right for being impulsive.

That all said and done, I could have had a faulty camera.

My opinion, feel free to beat me down............
