Found a way to get longer exposure on the M863 and keep low ISO. I went to "Scene" and selected "Night Landscape"....the cam defaults to infinity focus, daylight W/B, flash off, and 64 ISO and gives a full range shutter speed starting at 2sec ( as opposed to the 1/8sec in normal mode)...this opens up new possiblities for nightime shooting, or low light.
First shot at ISO 200...pretty grainy http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/pp307/arichard/100_0495.jpg Now on "Night Landscape" ISO 64..much cleaner I think http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/pp307/arichard/100_0835.jpg Posted this so you can have a way a round the 1/8sec barrier on your Kodaks with no manual setting...see if it works for yours. Two things to remember; at infinity, your DOF will extend from about 2 feet, and the Sunlight WB will mean warm color...which would be an easy fix in PP. Both shots Straight out of cam. rick
