Some members want to know whether I PP my images, or publish straight from the camera. Answer: I do some amount of Pp on all my images. Why? Because I want to see if I can improve upon them. In order to do this I select the settings in the cam to be as unintrusive as possible. For example I select Normal Sharpness, Low Color, Low Contrast. It’s just that I want the final say in how the image looks. I know Bassy selects his settings so that he doesn’t have to do any PP when he uses the P880, and he gets amazing results. I do not have a cam to perform as his does, so I PP. I probably would still PP if I had the P880. Anyway you can compare what I work with and my final results:
These pics are of the Altimira Oriole in Cecropica Tree. This was the closest I have ever managed to get to one, about fifteen feet away.

No PP - Notice the purple fringing
