I have read several sources that complain about the build quality of the Z980. An I missing something? I have had my Z980 for six months and it looks like new dispite having seen some rather hard service. The finish is like new and nothing is broken or chipped. No one has ever acused me of babying my equipment!

The battery door locks securely and I like the idea that it must be opened to remove the card thus preventing me from removing or inserting the card with the camera turned on.

I download mostly by cable and have no trouble making the connection.

I could complain about the lens cap falling off. Think I will make one based on the one for the Z760.

Do others have problems I should be on the lookout for?
