Hello,

I have recently purchased a Canon s90 camera, and I have a problem. I am sure it is an easy fix, but I can't figure it out.

When I take a picture in auto mode, it displays correctly according to how I have the options set (for 2 seconds and with info, before returning to the live view). When I take a photo in any other mode, it does does display at all, and I have to hit the play button to see the image. The screen goes blank for a second or two while processing the image, and then returns immediately to the live view. The image is displayed when I hit the play button though.

In these modes, (P, Av, Tv, and M) the menu options, "Review" and "Review Info" are both greyed out, and say 'off'. I can set it to 2 seconds in auto, but all other modes are not affected. The chart in the manual that shows which functions are available in which modes, and it appears every mode should have a review option.

I am guessing that I have some other mode selected that is preventing this from occurring. I currently am shooting in RAW + jpeg, but I have switched it to only jpeg, and only raw, and it still will not let me change the review selection in the menu.

I have tried to google and search this topic, but I haven't had much luck since most of my search results are just reviews of the camera.

If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful.
