I don't see anything on this forum...but with me my G9 would power up but wouldn't record images. Luckily I had and extended waranty, and was able to get it fixed..problem connectors...I assume between card and camera. The other problem I've seen is that the camera just dies. The interesting thing was all the incidents that I could find were after 18mo of use (18-21). I called canon and I don't know if I just spoke to someone on a bad day, but I was told that they never heard of these problems. When I responded that it was probably because the problems were occurring after the canon one year warantyy. The response was that they haven't the time to check out other resources for problems people were having with canon cameras....!!!???
