I have been researching the S90 for a few days now. We are going on a trip to southern Utah and I wanted a new compact camera to compliment my Nikon D300. I pretty much had myself talked out of the purchase being afraid that I might be spending my money on something I will regret later. (I hate buyers remorse.....!!)

Anyway, I told my husband today that I had decided to wait on a new camera. He wouldn't hear it. He said you have been researching it for days and I am going to make you get one. I know you want it and you should have it.

No matter which camera you look at, if you read enough reviews, you will hear positive and negative about it. There has been a lot of negative talk here about the S90....but a lot of positive talk too. So what I want to know is.....are you happy with your purchase. Would you recommend the camera to others? And, what is your background? Are you a point and shoot photographer only, or do you use the S90 to compliment your DSLR? I'm interested in hearing if those used to the image quality of their DSLR photos are happy with the image quality of the S90?

I don't want to hear about the focus dial. I've read plenty about that. But, I am looking for a small camera that has good high ISO performance. It will be kept in my purse to be pulled out whenever I want to take a photo and don't have my D300 with me. I have 6 young grandchildren and they are my most frequent subject although I also enjoy doing landscape and macro photography.

I need to make my decision by tomorrow morning, November 4.

Thanks for your advice.
