Last night was THE photo op I've been waiting for since I bought my G11 a couple weeks ago. U2, my favorite band for almost 25 years now, playing at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ. I've been taking my G11 to small club gigs the past week or so getting some practice taking photos at concerts with the new camera before last night's concert. I think the practice paid off as you can see in the photos below. This is one amazing camera!!

I shot in RAW, ISO 400 & ISO 800, processed with the just released update to DPP.

I have one more U2 show in Las Vegas that I'll be shooting with the G11 on Friday night. Suprisingly, DSLR's with lenses up to 8 inches long were allowed at the Glendale show. I had assumed I wouldn't be able to use my 40D and left it at home. If the camera policy in Vegas is going to be the same, I may bring both my 40D w/ 28-135mm kit lens and G11 to the concert Friday night and do some shot comparisons afterwards.
