Hi,

I am really wondering about that etarnal noise discussion (G10 for exemple). Noise can be used in such a creative way ! I even know at least one professional photographer, Tilmann Krieg from Germany, who chooses his digicams in function of the kind of noise they produce.

The exemples given are taken with the old Nikon Coolpix 4500 at ISO 800, one of the nosiest cameras around at anything above ISO 100. But hey, know what ? They look so much more interesting than those of my colleague who shot the same event (Abuja Carnival, Nigeria) with DSLR (Canon). His pictures are just normal: high ISo, reasonable clear and sharp - and totally boring compared to these ones:

Noise can be fun ! You just have to know your kind of noise and use it. If you want no noise - buy a DSLR. Its as simple as that.
