As the G7 is quite sensitive to IR light, it really is very simple. I put the R72 filter on the camera via the Lensmate Tube, set the camera to manual, set the Ap at 5.6 ish, 2-3 seconds exposure. Selected a customer white balance on a piece of white paper with the filter on. Pointed and pressed the shutter release. Once i had the Pic on my computer i ran it through 'Brads IR action' and the results are above. -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/cmthreadgold/
