I've heard everyone ooooh and ahhhhh over the quality of the video in the Canon S1&2 cameras. I agree. I took a video this early morning of a lovely duck swimming across a pond. Birds and insects chirpping in the background; a barely audible swish of the water as the duck paddled by...really enjoying the video and sound quality UNTIL.... the grinding hum of the zoom motor as I zoomed back and forth.

Huh?!

Am I doing something wrong? What good is being able to zoom while you capture video if the noise from the zoom is recorded and sounds almost like a Mack truck?

I'd appreciate any insights. Thanks,
