I've clicked the shutter well over 40,000 times on my D50 according to Opanda, and I think it may have finally broken somehow. All of my photos now have a dark strip at the bottom, as you can see below. I have already ordered a D90 which should be here Tuesday, but I was just curious to know if anyone else has had an issue like this? Is it worth sending in for repair, or should I just retire the D50 permanently?

By the way, these two photos are dark overall, as they haven't been processed except for resizing to view here. I'm just concerned with the bottom part of each shot. Thanks in advance for any replies.
