I just read the Canon 7D review...and one thing that jumped out at me for some reason was a metric for battery life. I noticed the summary says "good", but what does that mean.
One of the reasons I hate my current camera (PoS, I mean P&S) is the terrible battery life. I can't leave for an event where I expect anythinig but a few pictures without either changing batteries immediately before I leave, or bringing a spare set with me.
I know any standardized test would be like gas-mileage...but thats OK, cause its relative performance I'd be evaluating. Autofiring a camera for 2000 shots, with flash and Liveview on, for example...or until the battery dies then check the photo counts is one way, I guess.
Is battery-life essentially a non-issue with modern DSLR's? I'm contemplating the D90, but would like to know if it only takes 200 shots per set of batteries/charge and Canons 50D does 2000...thats important to know, is it not?
Thanks for any insight. -- iJeffG Come on Black Friday Bring on the D90 discounts!
