As you all know, Nikon just released the s1000pj, a pocket cam with projector built-in.
My response is 'why??!!' I know the regular response, sharing, innovation, differentiation, etc.
Would it make more sense for them to innovate on image quality (canon powershots), lens (panasonic lx3), sensor (olympus e-p1), AF (like couple of other models which uses fast SLR focus speed), battery life, etc.
Projector will just be average quality sharing tool compared to lastest HDTV, etc. Plus it's going eats up battery life. If they want better way to share with the expense of battery life why not have built-in wireless that will display images anywhere with a decent HD screens? For me, I share with Apple TV connected to my HDTV sets, facebook and emails which is enough for my sharing needs, I don't need to carry a projector around.
