I enjoy outdoor photography. In attempting to find a camera that is 1) lightweight for long distance hiking/backpacking and has a greater zoom capacity than most compacts and 2) not a full-scale dslr, I have been reading about the P80, which sounds like it would meet my crieteria; however, I have just about been scared away by the reviews. I have taken into account that it is a 'new' camera that folks are getting used to, but having seen some of the photography (rather soft and not fine details) I'm a bit skeptical. Can anyone recommend a good lightweight camera (not a lot of bulk) that will have a decent zoom with a good outcome in pic quality? THANKS! -- Bakpackr
