In all honesty, I made the TLR Sharpening Toolkit precisely because Andrew Rodney another of his partners treat people so badly on the Web. I watched them snarl at people who raised issues about PK Sharpener.

One time a third partner quipped, if people did not like the way they do business, the techniques were described in his articles, they could write their own actions.

So, I did.

And now I give it away!

Is Pixel Genius concerned? I don't know. I'm sure they'll tell you, "No." They should be concerned.

I can tell you that more than 10,000 people have download my TLR Sharpening Toolkit in the three months it has been available. I have the Webtrends reports to substantiate that claim. It generates about 1000 downloads each week.

The methodology I use is derived from the method Bruce Fraser describes in his articles. I added a couple of features from products like Focal Blade.

I will tell you that PK Sharpener is a fine product. No one has ever heard me say otherwise.

There are other sharpening tools that are excellent, too. I prefer Harold Heim's Focal Blade to PK with its comparative previews. it's a PS add-in. So it is more user friendly than the automation objects in PK Sharpener. It is also less expensive. Harold provides great support via e-mail notices of upgrades. And he does not beat up on people! :)

I think people would prefer to hear more information about PK Sharpener, rather than reading an inflammatory message laoded with insults.

Cheers,

Mitch
