2. New adjustment layer: Hue/Saturation. Used to desaturate

3. New adjustment layer: Selective color. Used to adjust the overall color to yellow. See "Neutrals"

4. New layer and painted 100% black to cover up background and parts of shirt.

5. New layer, mode multiply 100%. Painted with 100% brush, color 9C452F

6. New layer, mode multiply 75%. Painted with 5% brush, color 482303

7. New layer, mode Overlay 50%. Painted color B48C78 with 5-10% brush

8. New layer, mode Overlay 100%. Painted color black with 5-50% brush. This is used as "burn" layer.

9. New layer, mode Overlay 60%. Painted color white with 100% brush.

10. New layer, mode Color 50%. Painted color 194442 with 100% brush.
Erased color in left eye lighten


I don't know how much this it will help you (there are snapshots of the progression and with painted areas).
