I was reading the NAPP magazine (Photoshop User) and came across a color correction method by using a new PS CS filter.
It is essentially the same as the old method of finding what should be a neutral color, painting a new layer with that color, invert, change blend mode to color, and adjusting opacity.
But, by using the new average blur filter, you don't have to find a supposed neutral color.
Method follows:
Dup background (CTRL-J) Filter > Blur > Average (this will change your layer to a solid color). Image > Adjustment > Invert (CTRL-I) Change blend mode to color and adjust opacity
It worked very well on the image I worked with that had a color cast to it, but it may not work on all images. Something to try, though.
BTW, On my test image, I had to up the saturation a bit after the process.
