Hello Ramoul: I don't know what USM method you are using. The method is just as important as the settings themselves.

One method that avoids degrading the image quality, the one I use at times, limits and avoids pixel damage while at the same time sharpening and smoothing small amounts of chroma noise exaggerated by the unsharp mask . All you have to do is enter your settings in unsharp mask click ok and click edit and fade unsharp mask. change the blend mode to luminosity and click ok. Now
select filter > gaussian blur and add a slight blur (try 1.5). chose edit again, fade gaussian blur and change the blend mode to color and click ok. It's unsharp mask on Steriods method from photoshop user.
