David,
I downloaded and tried your atn. I must say I am impressed. I had some old shots I took with my old Epson 3000-3MP camera, that are very noisy in the higher ISO. It worked amazingly well.
At first I ran the mild action and the end result was just O.K., so I did an undo. I was disappointed that I lost alot of the subtle detail in my image, but the noise was gone.
I noticed the undo went up one step in the history palette, which undid the last step (which was to flatten the image). I then noticed in the layers palette, you have layer adjustments labeled Blue LF @ 60% Opacity and Blur HF @ 80% Opacity. By readjusting the HF from 80% to 0% and the LF from 60% to 30%, my particular image was now absolutely perfect! The distracting noise was gone, but I still had the important detail I wanted to keep.
--> My advise to whoever reads this, is to simply deactivate the last step of flattening and use the two sliders to fine tune their image prior to flattening.
Maybe you could replace flattening, with an instruction to adjust the sliders in your next release. I would then say your action is perfect. Great Job and Thanks!
