Joel,

I kind of like having my name on all of your pictures....this will take just a minute or so to do.

here we go. I assume you are talking about the signature action

First have any image open
open the little triangle on the action so that you can see all of the steps
now click on the step that says "set forground color"..this will just highlight it
Now go up to the little triangle drop down and select "insert stop"
say ok
Now delete the "set foreground color" and the "make text" line and the "set current text" line
Now highlight the main action "signature line" and play
it will stop.
Now go pick the text tool...pick a nice color/font/size/etc.
Now with everything chosen....click the record button at the bottom
Now put your text anywhere into the picture....it will make it's own new layer....I still prefer bud guinn
Once you have typed in the name press the stop button at the bottom of the palette.
Now Double click the "T" on the layers palette and adjust size again or color or whatever.
Now choose the move tool and put it where you want.
......let's clean it up a bit.
Now throw that layer away that you just made.
Go back and delete the stop
Now run the action and see if it behaves.

Also, once you know how the action works you can throw all of the little stops away....they are just for information...once you know it, trash it.
