no problem,

1 select an image with strong composition with a full range of tones especially in the highlights, delicate details might be lost during the process so find something that works when fine detail is obsured by course grain.

2.convert the image to greyscale

3. adjust colour and brightness so that all tones are well spread and the image contains bot full black and white plus textured shadows and highlights.

4. add texture. I used the noise filter in PS with the guassian and monochrome options set. Adjust the sliders to get the appropriate intensity.

5 add some drama with the dodge and burn tools . by using exposure values between 10 - 20 % you can uncrease the visual dominance of the appropriate areas of your image.

6. add some colour. Lith Printing can create end results that range from sepia luike tones to pinks and chocolate browns. Convert your image back to RGB and then use the Hue/saturation slider with the Colorize box checked. adjust the hue slider to get a pleasing result.

after all that, print your image if you like or post the results back here for us to have a look.

I have not written any actions for this effect as yet as I am still trying to improve on the technique. Any suggestions that might improve the process are most welcome

Cheers
