Still playing with framing and coming up with interesting results since I'm kinda tired of the simple frames. Problem is, that it's hard to explain in words what I'm doing but I will try. First here's an example....

Now I'll try explaining.
1. Create a new transparent layer on top of your background image
2. Rectangular marquee just slightly into the image
3. Select>modify border> in this example I used 20pixels
4. Fill with 50% Gray
5. Adjust Curves......I adjusted to create a lighter version of the grey....it's to taste
6. Drop shadow 0 distance 35 spread 5 size (I believe that's the order from top to bottom) and add to that an outer glow, inner glow and try bevel and emboss.
7. Render lighting effects to taste.
8. Crop out any part of your image extending past the frame.

Keep in mind that this isn't something that's written in stone, nor is it something you could make an action out of because it's very much tweaking oriented. It's merely a starting point for experimentation and odds are that you'll rarely get the same results twice, mostly because of the curves adjustments where you get the chrome look.

Good luck and I hope you have fun with this, I know I have.
