--It's like this...if you have your browser's prefs Web Content set or checkmarked for the "Use Color Sync" or "Use ICC or ICM" you will see the image in the color working space that was imbeded. But not everyone has this checked. sRGB is the Standard color space of the web, no matter what! If you are already working in sRGB, then you don't need to do anything. But if you're a "Print" person, like me--you use Color Management and are using the US Prepress Defaults, which include the Adobe RGB 1998 working space, and the US Web Coated (SWOP) for CMYK conversions. So, if my original file is tagged with the Adobe RGB 1998 space and I want to post it on the web, this is what I do. I make a duplicate file and on this dup, I go under Image>Mode>Convert and choose the sRGB working space. This converts my original Adobe RGB 1998 color numbers to sRGB color numbers that best represent the original colors. If you have not turned color managment on in Photoshop, you are in essence using the sRGB working space even if your image is untagged, so in this case you wouldn't need to do anything either. Hope this helps...Color Management questions and answers tend to cause brain explosions so keep a tight wrap on yer beanie! Shan Visit the home for Photoshopaholics at http://www.shanzcan.com
